Terms of Service

Last updated 4 October 2026

In short: Snacklet is a wellness app, not medical care. Be kind in the social features. Plus renews until you cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings.

These terms are an agreement between you and dezical (“we”, “us”) for using Snacklet. By using Snacklet you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Not medical advice

Snacklet gives general wellness information, such as calorie estimates, a fasting timer and tips. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Estimates, including AI estimates of meals, can be wrong. Use your own judgement and see how we calculate.

Talk to a doctor before you change how you eat or start fasting, and don’t use Snacklet to diet or fast if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have or have had an eating disorder. Check with your doctor first if you have diabetes, take medication that affects blood sugar, or have any other health condition. If you feel unwell during a fast, stop and eat. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

2. Who can use Snacklet

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian, and your plan will not include a calorie deficit.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information, especially in your plan, because your targets depend on it. You can delete your account at any time from Settings.

4. Snacklet Plus

  • Some features need a Plus subscription. It is bought and billed through the App Store or Google Play, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
  • Plus renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your store account is charged within 24 hours before renewal.
  • If we offer a free trial, it turns into a paid subscription at the end unless you cancel before the trial ends.
  • Manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
  • Daily limits apply to AI features, on Plus too, to keep the service fair and running.

5. Coins and buddy items

Coins, streaks, items and league places are part of the game. They can’t be bought with or exchanged for real money, have no cash value and can’t be transferred. We may rebalance them to keep the game fair.

6. Duo mode, leagues and invites

Be respectful. Don’t use names, buddy names or nicknames that are offensive, impersonate someone or include personal details of others. Only invite people who want to join. We may remove names, end a duo or remove someone from a league if these rules are broken.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse Snacklet: don’t try to access it in ways we don’t offer, get around its limits, scrape it, overload it, reverse engineer it, or use it for anything unlawful. Don’t upload photos you don’t have the right to use. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

8. Your content

You own what you put into Snacklet. You give us permission to store, process and show it only as needed to run the app for you (for example, to estimate a meal or show your buddy to your duo partner). If you add a product’s nutrition from a label, you let us share those nutrition values with other users.

9. Our app

Snacklet, its buddies, art and software belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the app store’s rules. Food data from Open Food Facts is available under the Open Database License.

10. Changes and availability

We work hard to keep Snacklet running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or end features. If we make a big change to these terms, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.

11. Ending

You can stop using Snacklet and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

12. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent the law allows, Snacklet is provided “as is”, without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates in the app. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. If you got Snacklet from the App Store

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Snacklet, its content, maintenance or support, or any claims about it, including product liability, legal or consumer protection claims, or intellectual property claims. If Snacklet fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not in a country under a US embargo and are not on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties.
